Sustainable Raw Materials

Theodor Fontane already knew that "the magic is in the detail". In order to guarantee particularly high-quality, lovingly and fairly manufactured slings and carriers, sustainability begins for us in the extraction of raw materials.

Our basic fibre, organic cotton, is grown and harvested free of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides and is certified organic; we only use GMO-free cotton.

Our particularly warming wool comes from sheep from controlled organic animal husbandry (kbT) - i.e. strictly without any harm of the animals, such as mulesing or similar.

With this same level of care, we select yarns made from hard-wearing natural fibres such as linen or hemp as well.

The same is true for our cashmere, silk and tussah silk lines.
