Comfort, closeness, flexibility: the new DIDYMOS DidyFix makes carrying even more inviting
Easy-to-put-on comfort carrier keeps the baby close to the body / Wide choice of colours and patterns at launch / In its 50th year, DIDYMOS shows an undiminished spirit of innovation
Ludwigsburg, November 2022. A forward-looking addition to the colourful family of DIDYMOS carriers: the DidyFix combines a very high level of carrying comfort with the closeness to the child that suits their development. At launch, the new carrier is available in seven model variants. It can be used from birth until about 20 months of age. "With the DidyFix, we build on our traditional strengths. At the same time, it points the way to the future of comfortable carrying," says Tina Hoffmann, managing director and daughter of DIDYMOS founder Erika Hoffmann.
In 2022, DIDYMOS celebrates 50 years of company history. The DidyFix was developed on the basis of decades of experience, and with the involvement of the worldwide DIDYMOS community, whose valuable suggestions contributed to the design. The result is a comfort carrier that can be put on in a few simple steps and carries the baby close to the body, almost like in a DIDYMOS baby wrap. The weight is transferred from the wearer's shoulders to the hips, which, according to the test wearers, makes for a very pleasant carrying feel. "Wrap feel, high-quality materials and workmanship, individual adjustment: the DidyFix brings together the best of all carrying worlds," says Tina Hoffmann.
The high carrying comfort comes from the cut as well as from straps and connections developed with ergonomics in mind. Every detail of the DidyFix was tested and refined until it met our expectations:
- the waist belt is ergonomically shaped, and its length can be adjusted individually,
- the shoulder straps are padded and can be worn parallel or crossed,
- the shoulder straps can be adjusted individually, as can the seat width,
- the two-way buckle on the straps makes the carrier easy to tighten,
- the back panel can be shortened in height.
A supportive position, special closeness
The shaped carrying pouch of the DidyFix supports an ergonomic spread-squat position for the child. The headrest, an important feature, can be adjusted in several ways, which also means that the wearer has both hands free.
Thanks to its clever construction, the DidyFix offers two key advantages: the child rests securely supported against the wearer's body, and individual preferences are taken into account. You can carry on your front, on your hip or on your back. When carrying on the front, the shoulder straps can also be worn either crossed or parallel on the back.
Seven models at launch
At launch, the DidyFix comes in seven models. Currently available are Rusty Red, Olive, Oceanis, Hope, Mocca, Doubleface Graphite and Silver. More colours and patterns will follow. Our photos give a first impression of the range. Six models are made from 100 per cent organically grown cotton. The Oceanis model is a blend of 55 per cent cotton and 45 per cent linen. The retail price at launch is 99 euros.
The DidyFix complies with the applicable technical safety standard CEN/TR 16512. You can find more information here.

The revised DIDYMOS carriers DidyKlick and DidySnap
The DidyKlick and the DidySnap are popular carriers. We have revised both, paying particular attention to the belt. It is now ergonomically shaped and made from a firmer foam, for a stable fit.
DidyKlick
Do you want to keep the flexibility of a wrap, but also like the comfort of a carrier with a waist belt? The DidyKlick combines both. The ergonomically shaped waist belt is quick to put on. Cross the shoulder straps on your back and knot them, and you are done. Your baby stays close, and the weight is spread comfortably across your shoulders and hips, so you can discover the world together at eye level.
DidySnap
This carrier is quick and comfortable to put on. The ergonomically shaped waist belt hugs the body and spreads the weight evenly. The shoulder and hip straps close entirely with buckles. Two freely movable soft pads let you add padding to the straps wherever you find it comfortable. You can use the DidySnap on your front, on your hip and of course on your back. That way, your baby comes along at eye level for everyday activities and on holiday, for a thoroughly enjoyable carrying experience.

50 years of DIDYMOS
Fashion changes, the baby wrap stays
Almost 50 years ago, our mother, Erika Hoffmann, founded the small one-woman business DIDYMOS. That was in 1972, at a time when married women still needed their husband's consent if they wanted to work. She originally just wanted to carry her twins, but after a three-page feature in "Der Stern", she received enquiries from all over Germany, and many more parents were to get close to their babies.
For the first 30 years, this was mainly a matter of persuasion, marked by many setbacks. When the World Wide Web reached families in the late 1990s, mothers could finally network far better and exchange ideas in forums. Since then, babywearing has moved into the mainstream. A baby wrap or a baby carrier is now part of a baby's basic equipment.
Who would have thought that 50 years ago?
