Morgane from Ma vie de maman natur'elle'ment has tested the Didy Meh-Dai Twisted Lisca Emerald and the Didy Meh-Dai Ada Malachite for us
"[Translation from French] With the Didy Meh-Dai I am testing a Mei-tai for the first time …I had an ambivalent relationship with carriers of this type as I do fine with baby wrap slings and preformed carriers, I saw no benefit in combining the two.... I admit I was skeptical. When the parcel arrived, I admired the beautiful ,soft and supple material (I had not seen many DIDYMOS wraps until then so this meant convincing me). Once unpacked I couldn’t wait to try it out …many small details such as the different edges, the adjustable headrest and the drawstring for adjusting the panel convinced me immediately...
I tested it with the new-born doll… as can be seen in the video the adjustable panel enables a perfect positioning of the child. As the drawstring is in the middle of the Didy Meh-Dai the material is adjusted evenly in its full width, unlike other models which have to be adjusted from two sides, this is so much more comfortable for the child. The supple material supports the ergonomically correct position of the back even though the height of the panel is not adjustable, this can be adjusted when tying the Didy Meh-Dai. The headrest is adjustable and supports the nape of the neck well. The Didy Meh-Dai is excellent from a very early age on (I can confirm this in a few weeks).
I have also tested the Didy Meh-Dai with my son, he is 28 months old, the back panel goes up to his armpits, but this can be regulated when tying and with the headrest. (I haven’t tried this out with my 8-month belly). I carried him for a short trip to the shopping mall, the comfort really convinced me (in spite of my well-advanced pregnancy). It combines the comfort of the baby wrap with its numerous tying options with the easy handling of preformed carriers. I recommend it to parents who are not yet well acquainted with the wrap and who appreciate the supple material and who like to wrap and are also looking for the security which a waist belt offers. This enables positioning of the child prior to wrapping….
…Initially, I wasn’t a fan of Mei-tais, the Didy Meh-Dai has become a true favourite, I am looking forward to presenting it to parents at my consultations and also to using it with my children.
Testing during pregnancy has truly convinced me. I love baby wraps, but this is not easy with a baby belly…
For those of you who prefer carriers with a clip-buckle Didymos has launched the DidyKlick last year.
You will find further details on the Didy Meh-Dai in my video."
